These feathered gods are my favourite part of the British Museum’s Hawai’i Exhibition. They were gifted to the Museum by High Chief Kalaniʻōpuʻu in 1779.

Some neat little bits in Canterbury Cathedral today. Pictures 1-5 show graffiti from 1701, and then four fantastical column capitals.

Picture 6 is my favourite: a gothic test arch (amongst rounded Romanesque ones) to show architects this new fangled style in the 12th century.
