I had a delicious (free!) Ethiopian lunch today at as part of their new Bibby Boys Exhibition. ARK is a community arts space in Margate located in a beautiful former synagogue.

“Bibby Boys documents the experience of the men aboard the Bibby Stockholm barge and the community that rallied around them. It is a collaborative photographic series by Theo McInnes and Thomas Ralph.“

I spent the afternoon at the Courtauld Gallery on Saturday, and didn’t realise that highlights from Birmingham’s Barber Institute of Fine Art are there while it undergoes renovation. What a wonderful surprise to walk in and see my girl Elizabeth Vigée Le Brun! Not to mention Franz Hals, Monet, Degas, Turner, Rosetti, Gossaert, and more. This is currently included in the regular admission but it ends June 28!

These feathered gods are my favourite part of the British Museum’s Hawai’i Exhibition. They were gifted to the Museum by High Chief Kalaniʻōpuʻu in 1779.
