ack over 6 centuries. The doors of La Vieille Maison are open to you to share our home. We, and John and Annie Lupton, have a warm welcome awaiting when you come and stay in their luxury holiday letting apartments. Jonquille and Cecilia are within La Vieille Maison which is situated in the Provencal mediaeval village of Cabrières d’Avignon, just east of Avignon in the Luberon. The letting apartments are named after Annie’s late Dad’s yachts, Jonquille being the larger. Cecilia has one double room, in addition to which there is a mezzanine with two futons, which the younger children love! The double height open plan living area gives the feeling of space and light. Holes in the wall reveal previous history of silk production. Jonquille, the larger apartment, has two double rooms, a twin bedded and a large double bedded room. It has the benefit of a private courtyard with table, chairs and a balcony, in addition to full use of the family's garden and pool. Both are finished to a high standard with antique linen sheets, luxury bathrobes and towels, which encompass understated quality and elegance for the discerning guest. All bedrooms in are en suite. The beautiful garden is a place of tranquillity, where one can always find a secluded corner in which to relax, or eat and drink. Resting on the towelling sun bed mattresses by the pool is always a favourite occupation. There are plenty for everyone! For a holiday in France in a wonderful area, La Vieille Maison is in a delightful oasis of peace and calm, as often mentioned by our guests. Although it is only 2 minutes walk from the boulangerie, small general store and butcher, the countryside is directly behind the house, where many long walks and paths can be discovered. It is truly a very peaceful location. John and Annie Lupton welcome many return guests on a regular basis.

Rain and chilly air in Cabrieres d'Avignon! The fire is lit! Take heart! The New Year has arrived and we are nearly into March! How time flies!! The bulbs have come through and Spring is beckoning! With the blossom on some trees!! Warm sunny days are approaching!!! A time to smile!!!!!.....X

A Christmas Day morning walk with friends at 8.30am! The sun is about to shine on the countryside behind La Vieille Maison, and the sloes are beautifully ripe & ready for picking! A sloe gin in the warm shade of the garden, when the Summer returns!! What a wonderful thought!!!!
