Here are a few other activities in the area of the pyrenées and bagneres de bigorre. These include Aquensis, the local baths, saunas, pools and hammams. Le Parc Animalier des Pyrenees, a shelter and rescue center park that has a large assortment of animals. Some animals you are allowed to interact with. And lastly, le Parc Arobatique l'AYA, the climbing park in the trees that has 7 levels that get harder and higher as you go. Green, blue, red, black and purple.

36 km from The Penstone Grange, Arreau is a charming village in the mountains with beautiful architecture and many shops, cafes and restaurants beside the two rivers surrounding the town. This is a very pleasant town to come to for a relaxing afternoon of walking, shopping and taking in the beautiful and interesting sights.

Only a 5 minutes walk away, Campan is the closest town to The Penstone Grange. Although Bagneres is larger and better for shopping, activities and restaurants, Campan also has a few small cafes, tabacs, restaurants and a bakery for your morning bread. It is particularly nice for a stroll on an afternoon to look at the quaint architecture or to have a picnic by the river. As well as this, from July to September, this town has a tradition from the 19th century where they make and put up puppets, traditionally called monaques. These monaques represent the people living or working in each building. The tradition was first made when one of the eldest men in Campan married a foreigner while everyone else in the village married amongst themselves. The other villagers began to make fun of the married couple and made the monaques to represent the couple's flaws. Now, of course, the tradition has changed and the monaques represent the village life.

Welcome to Bagnères-de-Bigorre, the main center for shopping, restaurants, and activities such as watching movies at the local cinema. As well as this, Bagnères also hosts many events such as the weekly Saturday Market. Here there are lots of traditional and homemade french foods and all the people of the town visit the market for their weekend shopping. In the town there are also supermarkets and clothing shops for any other necessary shopping.

Lac de Payolle, an 11km drive from The Penstone Grange. Here there are s variety of activities for both adults snd children of all ages. Such as, ziplinning, guided horse riding, kayaking, pedalo boats, paddle boarding and swimming in the clean, refreshing mountain water. You can take a picnic or simply go to have an afternoon walk and admire the beautiful mountain views. As well as this, there are also a few shops and restaurants.

The beautiful hike from the Col de Tourmalet to Lac d'Oncet, there are many rivers, stunning wildlife snd spectacular views during the entire hike. As well as this, once you finish your hike there are a variety of restaurants and shops in the La Mongie ski resort area to relax and eat. Only a 21 km drive from The Penstone Grange.
