We loved coming into the Veliko Tyrnovo Train Station. This train station had a signalman/pointsman right out front. This town is considered the historical and spiritual capital of Bulgaria and we fell in love!

We had to transfer from our first class, newer train, to an older train, and we loved this experience also! Several local folks tried to help us with the transfer since we could not interpret our tickets or the signs.
