Tomorrow, Stage 4 of the Tour de France rolls into Carcassonne! 🚴‍♂️🇫🇷
We're always amazed by the sheer scale of this iconic cycling event and by the incredible athletes who make up the peloton—especially as they take on the challenge in the middle of a heatwave! ☀️🔥
The city is buzzing with excitement, colour, and anticipation, and we're ready for all the action to begin!
🚴 Fun fact: Carcassonne has welcomed the Tour de France 19 times since its first visit in 1947—making this historic city one of the race's favourite stops! 🇫🇷

If you've been seeing the headlines about the heatwave in France... they're true. ☀️🥵
It's one of the reasons we don't schedule our tours during peak summer.
Of course, summer is the perfect time to visit for many people, and France is beautiful in every season. But for us, we've found that spring and autumn offer the best overall experience.

The weather is gentler, the crowds are smaller, and there's a more relaxed pace that lets you truly enjoy the villages, markets, cafés and countryside.
That's always been our philosophy: choosing the time of year that offers the greatest comfort, value, and enjoyment for our guests.
