Le grand parachutage de La Fière, prévu dès 8 heures, devrait attirer plusieurs dizaines de milliers de spectateurs.

8h00 : Grand Parachutage.
14h00 : Concert Impasse des Vertus (chansons françaises).
16h00 : Cérémonie au monument Iron Mike (La Fière).
16h00-17h30 : Bal de la Liberté animé par Flashback.
19h00 : Accueil des troupes et grande parade.
19h30 : Concert Flashback – partie 2.

Les vétérans au rendez-vous
Le volet mémoriel sera marqué par la venue de 25 vétérans, dans le cadre d’un voyage commémoratif désormais bien installé. Ils seront accompagnés d’étudiants chargés de faire vivre cette mémoire auprès des jeunes générations. Ils rejoindront treize autres vétérans soutenus par d’autres associations comme Vétérans back to Normandie.

À Carentan, un autre rendez-vous aérien est programmé mercredi 3 juin de 11 h à 12 h à l’hippodrome, avec des démonstrations de chute libre en remplacement des sauts traditionnels le long de l’ancienne RN13.

Les organisateurs annoncent la présence de 75 hommes de la 101e Airborne et d’une centaine de paras du Round Canopy Parachuting Team.

Les associations Liberty Jump Team et RCPT proposeront aussi des sauts en tenue d’époque à partir de C-47.

🇬🇧✨ Our plucky posse of Brits are really knitting together some unforgettable memories on a three-day Normandy adventure—looping in all the must-see sights along the way.

Day 2 had us completely hooked with a visit to see The Longest Yarn. You may have spotted it on the BBC or followed the thread of its travels across the UK and USA.

Now it’s finally cast off on its next chapter, settled into its forever home in a beautiful church in Carentan, Normandy, France.

If this is your kind of yarn, just drop us a line—we’d be more than happy to weave it into your own tailor-made tour.

It’s all go for the 80th Anniversary of DDay. The sun is shining on us and we’re all set for an amazing few days touring all the beaches and sectors. Give me a wave if you see me (you can’t miss me in my red jacket!).
