Blown away by our latest review:
“You are immediately transported to a fairytale”
On arrival to the property you are immediately transported to a fairytale. The views are breathtaking and the property itself is beautiful inside and out.
Every single bedroom was well thought out and huge with lots of storage space, hairdryers and even (silent) fans to keep you cool. You don’t have to worry about someone getting the dud room as there’s no such thing there - all of them are beautiful.
We were there with a mix of age groups and everyone was content and happy. Lots of wildlife to see and some lovely walks through plum fields to the village.
Having the SuperU supermarket on the doorstep, literally two minutes’ drive or 10 minutes’ walk was very very handy and well stocked - they do some great BBQ packs for the meat eaters. My advice would be to stock up on your supplies for the house on your arrival day (if it’s Saturday) as supermarkets close at 12:30pm on Sundays and you’ll be too busy on your first morning soaking in the beauty of the pool and your surroundings and might not get there in time.
We opted for Liz to make us all a meal one night - what a treat! She is a great cook and a baker so I definitely recommend doing that one evening, it was one of the highlights for us.
It’s clear to see that Liz and Martyn work hard to maintain the property to extremely high standards. We ended up making a sport of trying to think of things that they hadn’t thought of - but we couldn’t think of one!!
If you have booked this or are thinking of booking it then you are in for a huge treat.
If you are especially lucky you’ll get to meet their dog Burtie who is an absolute little dream and the icing on the cake of the perfect property.

Just had our first review this year for our "sister property" - "La Rose Blanche in Fongrave - still some availability:
"La Rose Blanche is a hidden gem. River views and sunbathing on the banks of the Lot river. Super clean traditional town house with all the facilities needed including a dip in your own pool. Very secure easy parking across from Fongrave Town Hall. Liz, the owner was on hand for the whole stay to answering our questions quickly and with great local knowledge. This house is our number 1 now on the beautiful River Lot 10 out of 10!"

Totally blown away by our lunch at the new restaurant Restaurant L'Herboriste , just a 10 min walk away in our little village, Castelmoron-sur-Lot. Our best meal since arriving in France nearly 6 years ago! Impeccable food, service and decoration. Feliciations to Katarina and Renaud!
