Snowfocus runs a 5 bedroom chalet, in Chatel, Portes du Soleil, France. We look forward to skiing with you.

We offer chalet holidays throughout the year from our chalet, La Sonnaille, which we designed and built with families and large groups very much in mind. In this post Brexit world we are now offering primarily self catered holidays. That said over the Easter period we are delighted to be able to offer our signature catered family holidays with bespoke children's ski school. And if you twist our arm we can stretch to a few adult catered holidays in low season.

The new télésiège which is replacing the old télécabine is well on the way and taking shape. So looking forward to not having to take skis off and climbing those stairs!

After a rather snowy start to 2025 the sun has re-appeared. Conditions are fabulous, although rather chilly. Week-end of 24th/25th January available if anyone fancies a shortbreak in the snow.

No, no snow yet, just beautiful autumnal weather and stunning autumn colours and our thoughts are turning to the winter. We are running a family week the week of 30th March and have two families interested and looking for a third to run the week. Last day of the summer season and our long awaited sunflower which I started from seed in April has finally bloomed. Busy month of September ahead - chalet extérieur being painted and new floor down in the lounge. Chalet available for rent from October half term onwards in time to appreciate the beautiful autumn colours before the snow comes. Watch this space for details on our winter season.

Summer has finally arrived. Gorgeous walk today - wonderful Alpine meadows with a back drop of snowy peaks.

Our inter-season visitors enjoying breakfast! This summer we are running a short catered 10 days from 14th to 25th July and have a couple of rooms left. Electric biking tours, great walks, and summer pass giving access to lifts, swimming pool and tennis courts for €2.50 a day. Winter 2025 we will be offering a mixture of self catered, bed and breakfast and fully catered. Please contact Sue for details.

Our 2024 season has drawn to a close and the snow we have been waiting for since the beginning of February has finally arrived 😂😂⛷️. Well done to Chatel for maintaining the slopes in excellent condition all season. Great skiing with our family group last week to finish our season. Watch this space for our 2025 ski season news.

Super Chatel snow park looking good. Where is everyone? Another beautiful sunny day on the slopes with no one around. Making the most of it before the half term holidays!

A perfect Saturday at Super Chatel and the back of the Morclan. New snow, clear, cold, sunny weather and no-one on the slopes. Couldn’t be more perfect. We are running a long week-end bed and breakfast the week-end of 15th to 18thMarch. 4 nights B&B with ski guiding €800 per room for 2 people.
