The Ladies Tour de France rides into our area on Wednesday, it promises to bring plenty of spectators to Creuse!

[Tour de France Femmes 2025]
Le Tour de France Femmes 2025 traversera la Creuse le 30 juillet 2025. L'entrée dans le département par la commune de Vareilles est prévue vers 15h00 avant de rejoindre Guéret où l'arrivée du dernier coureur est prévue à aux alentours de 17h30. Les routes empruntées par le Tour, en bleu sur la carte, seront interdites à la circulation routière une heure avant le passage de la caravane publicitaire et jusqu'à 30 minutes après celui de la voiture balai. De plus, l'échangeur 50 sortie St Vaury, sera bloqué.

Summer has well and truly kicked in, hasn't it? 😆 And so have our summer hours. From today, our kitchen is open every lunch time and every evening - and don't forget the fry up on a Sunday ;)

Well the weather continues to be a tad warm but not putting off my guests! Fully booked tonight (on a Sunday🤔) and two of my gites booked out for 3 weeks! Fantastic second year so far🥳!

I live in a very strange but wonderful place! It’s been 35 degrees today but now raining with thunder and lighting and also a drought warning being threatened! When I moved over here just over a year ago we were told it had rained for 6 months! Global warming has plenty to answer for! A small blip on an otherwise lovely week of weather !

There I am sitting in my spa bath after a quick dip in the pool and the phone pings to say I have a booking for tonight! Before I could even open my beer a car pulls in, it’s my new guests! Luckily the gîte was 95% ready and the guests were very apologetic as they had found me after arriving at one of my local competitors to, let’s just say, a very bad experience! 🥳🥳🥳🌞🌞🌞
