01/07/2018
Today, 1st July 2018, marks a change in the law. Single carriage roads with no central divider will be reduced from 90km to 80km. Major routes with central barrier will remain the same. Many visitors use the toll roads, but once off these, you will need to remember that this new law applies.
RAPPEL VITESSE 80
Do remember that the law changes on 1st July 2018 with regard to the speed limit. On single carriage roads with no central divider (secondary roads with two way traffic) the speed limit (unless otherwise notified) is reduced to 80km from 90km.
I expect there will be a short period of tolerance by the authorities, but if in doubt stick to 80 as the majority of country roads will fall into this category. You have been warned, so please advise your guests, family and friends who may be visiting you to be aware of this.
