A few pictures of the chateau’s new drawbridge and interior . So much amazing work is being done to restore it , well worth a visit. We had guests go for a tour yesterday and a glass of wine in the tea rooms after and they loved it .

Voici quelques photos du nouveau pont-levis et de l'intérieur du château. Un travail formidable est en cours pour sa restauration ; il mérite vraiment le détour. Hier, des invités ont fait une visite guidée, suivie d'un verre de vin au salon de thé, et ils ont adoré.

Les Baignades has had a refresh downstairs this spring and I have to say I love the green paint ! Ready for our first guests very soon

We have a new restaurant opening in June on the square where the fountain is … very excited .. less than 2 mins from us !

Chalais Chateau has new owners and they are renovating it beautifully … watch the video and see the new drawbridge being put in place and working ! They now have a tea shop and gift shop is on the way ! Well worth a visit and only 5 mins from us

Today’s job was getting the pool sunbeds and brollies out and the terrace set up … I love it when we get this done as it really reminds me that summer is on its way ! All ready now for guests and the pool is warming up nicely … we have some availability left in July and one week in August if you fancy coming for a swim ! I love the rose we have by our front door and it’s in full bloom at the moment , the scent is amazing but the best thing about it is it’s a thornless rose so no nasty sharp stems !!!

One of my favourite times of the year … when the wisteria in La Secharies terrace comes out ! It’s not quite as magnificent
as usual as we gave it a rather severe haircut in the autumn but it’s still beautiful … we have also just finished the new wall and fencing around Secharies terrace and the honeysuckle has finally been repotted ! I wasn’t sure I could find a pot big enough ! Pool opened yesterday so well on the way for preparing for our first guests ! .. We still have a couple of weeks in July and one in August available in La Secharie , also June and Sept some availability
The weather has been fantastic the last three days 28 degrees !
