Haute Route Chamonix-Zermatt - Our guide had to adjust the plans for the first 2 days due to the bad weather, but then the sun came out, alongside great conditions! Congratulations to all the group for making it to Zermatt!

Last week we had an amazing time on our Introductory Ski Touring Course ❄️⛷️
Our motivated guests learned how to nail kick turns, evaluate avalanche terrain, use transceivers efficiently, and understand how snow layers transform throughout the winter.
We even spent a night in one of the most beautiful huts in the Alps, enjoying a proper Italian aperitivo inside a 300-year-old cellar 🍷🇮🇹
Add fantastic powder every day, great people, and big smiles, and you get a pretty special week in the mountains.

🏔️ Last Gran Paradiso of the Season (19/20 September)

What a way to wrap things up this summer! 🎉 Four young Americans in their 20s just climbed their first 4000 m peak — and absolutely crushed it 💪🇺🇸

⛰️ Matterhorn Course with Chad & Sam 🇺🇸🇦🇺

Our two adventurers spent two days at the Torino Hut preparing for their big goal – the Matterhorn. 🌄

But the mountains had other plans: 20 cm of fresh snow on day one ❄️ made the climb too risky.

So, we switched to Plan B and headed to Gran Paradiso 🏔️ — which Chad and Sam crushed in record time! 💪

The mountain decides, we adapt — and we still make memories. Our job: keep you safe & make sure you have fun doing it! 😎

Haute Route Chamonix-Zermatt “Unfolded” - Day 7: The Grand Finale! 🏔️🌟

Day 7 - the most spectacular stage of our epic ski traverse is here! 💥 Waking up to a thrilling descent from the Bertol refuge’s ladder - some morning adrenaline rush! 🔥

We climb towards Tête Blanche, our second-highest peak, surrounded by absolute alpine majesty. The summit rewards us with a jaw-dropping panorama: the iconic Matterhorn, Dent Blanche, and Dent d’Hérens standing proud against the sky. 📸❄️

Then comes the highlight - descending the legendary Stockji Glacier! Winding through a mesmerizing maze of crevasses and seracs, this is one of the most famous off-piste descents in the Alps.

One epic ski run from Tête Blanche to Zermatt, dropping a massive 2,500 meters!

Crossing the moraine below the Matterhorn, we finally glide into Zermatt - our incredible journey’s end.

From Chamonix to Zermatt, 7 days of pure alpine magic complete! 🏔️✨

Haute Route Chamonix-Zermatt “Unfolded” - Day 6 🏔️❄️

Day 6 on the legendary Haute Route and the adventure keeps getting better! ✨

Morning magic begins with a short descent from - reaching the peaceful Col de Charmontane where we strap on our skins for the climb to Col de l’Eveque.

Those first rays of sunshine hitting our faces after the climb? Absolute perfection! ☀️

The journey continues across the majestic Arolla Glacier, where we casually cross the Italian border TWICE within meters (passport stamps anyone? 😜).

Navigating the steep traverse down to Plans de Bertol definitely keeps us on our toes! 🧭🌄

Then comes the real challenge - the steady climb to Col de Bertol. Legs burning but spirits high! 💪

The reward? Spotting our destination - the legendary Cabane de Bertol, a true eagle’s nest perched dramatically on a rocky ridge. 🦅

We leave our skis behind for the final approach and tackle those steep ladders (looks scarier than it actually is!) to reach what might be THE most spectacular hut on the entire Haute Route. 🪜⛰️

Now sitting here with panoramic views of the Dent Blanche, the iconic Matterhorn, and tomorrow’s glacier playground stretching out before us. This is what alpine dreams are made of! 😍

🌄 Haute Route Chamonix-Zermatt “Unfolded” - Day 5 🌟

Today’s mission? Conquer the highest peak of the Haute Route: Pigne d’Arolla (3,796m)! 🏔️✨

We kick off at dawn, climbing the Tsena Reifen Glacier under a glowing Mont Blanc de Cheillon sunrise 🌅.

The Mur de la Serpentine adds some spice 🌶️, but once past its steepness, wide-open slopes lead us to the summit.

From the top? 360° panoramic magic 😍, with snow-capped peaks and the Matterhorn on the horizon.

The descent brings us to the , a very cozy hut perched on a ridge. Imagine eating a warm, crispy rösti while soaking in this beauty (see pics). 🏡🧀❄️
