Kayak, hike & wild camp in the Lofoten Islands - Day 5 🛶🔥

With the mountains hidden by low cloud but the forecast looking far better on the water, we decided to squeeze in one more day of paddling.

After a wet start, the skies gradually opened up, rewarding us with patches of blue as we continued south from Rolvsfjord to Steine.

The Lofoten coastline never gets old. Crystal-clear water, rugged peaks rising straight from the sea, and another day spent exploring one of the most spectacular corners of the world.

Back at our base in Eggum, there was no better way to celebrate an unforgettable week than with an outdoor sauna, a refreshing dip in the Arctic Sea, and a fantastic lamb supper shared with new friends.

The perfect ending to an incredible adventure. 🇳🇴💙

Kayak, hike & wild camp in the Lofoten Islands – Day 4 🥾⛰️

“It’s not all sunshine and rainbows…” 😅

After three incredible days on the water, today we swapped paddles for hiking boots and headed into the mountains. The weather reminded us who’s really in charge up here, but that’s all part of the adventure.

We battled our way to the summit of Brattfloget, earning breathtaking views before taking shelter in a cosy mountain hut for lunch. There was nothing better than warming up around the fire while watching the weather roll through the peaks.

Back at camp, the perfect reward awaited – a delicious salmon supper, plenty of laughs, and another evening spent soaking up life in one of the most beautiful places on Earth 🇳🇴

Kayak, hike & wild camp in the Lofoten Islands – Day 3 🛶🏕️

Our final day on the water… and what a way to finish.

Another incredible paddle through the heart of the Lofoten Islands, surrounded by towering peaks, pristine beaches and some of the clearest water we’ve ever seen. Every kilometre reminded us why this is one of the world’s greatest sea kayaking destinations.

Three days, around 60km of paddling, countless unforgettable moments, and a group that’s embraced every challenge and every adventure together 💙

Tomorrow we trade our kayaks for hiking boots as we head into the mountains. If the views from sea level have been this spectacular, we can’t wait to see what awaits us from above. ⛰️🇳🇴

Kayak, hike & wild camp in the Lofoten Islands - Day 2 🛶🏕️

Another 20km ticked off, and what a day it’s been!

We’ve been treated to what the locals are calling the best weather the Lofoten Islands have seen all July, with calm seas, blue skies, and crystal-clear turquoise water that almost didn’t seem real ☀️💙

Every paddle stroke brought another incredible view, with dramatic mountains rising from the sea in every direction. We stopped for lunch at one of the most spectacular spots imaginable, before ending the day cooling off with another swim in the Arctic waters and a campfire supper.

It’s hard to put into words just how special this place is.

Tomorrow is our final day of kayaking before we swap paddles for hiking boots… but if today is anything to go by, the adventure is far from over 🇳🇴

Kayak, hike & wild camp in the Lofoten Islands – Day 1 🛶🏕️

We kicked off our first day with 20km of paddling, weaving our way through the crystal-clear waters from Eggum to our wild camp on Vikarøya Island.

The wildlife didn’t disappoint either… sea eagles soaring overhead, flying fish, and jellyfish so big they looked like floating space hoppers! 🪼

After pitching camp, we rounded off the day the best way we know how: a hearty meal and marshmallows over the campfire.

Despite a few evening showers, spirits are high, and tomorrow’s forecast is looking even better.

The adventure is only just getting started, and we can’t wait to see what the next few days have in store 🇳🇴
