Angulus Ridet (Latin; "This corner of the earth makes me happy") is a beautifully refurbished collection of 4 x separate cosy farmhouse cottages set around a central courtyard. Ideal for a large family / groups of couples where people can get together at the same venue but have independent accommodation each with their own fully fitted shower rooms and living rooms / kitchen diners. total there are 5 x doubles (2 with en-suite shower rooms) plus a further 2 x twin bedrooms (also can be made up as doubles) plus 3 family shower rooms. 2 of the gites also have a sofabed increasing capacity to a maximum of 18 people. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. There is a large covered dining area plus 2 x separate verandas for outdoor dining, one in the courtyard with shade and one in the south facing garden. There is ample car parking in the spacious garden area with a pool and sunbed area, a boules / petanque pitch.The size of the grounds and the layout of the accommodation ensures everyone has space and privacy if required. Each cottage has a separate kitchen equipped with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, crockery and cutlery etc should you choose to cook yourself and there is a large supermarket only 5 minutes away with excellent charcuterie, fish and fresh vegetables. Each cottage has it's own entrance from the shared courtyard. There are 2 verandas for outdoor dining, one in the courtyard with shade and one in the south facing garden. In addition there is a large covered outdoor dining area off the courtyard with access to the spacious garden / pool area.

First guests of the season were a lovely group of 15 people.

"We had a wonderful weekend, with friends, in these cottages. The location is perfect for discovering the Touraine. The cottages are very good, clean and perfectly equipped, with special attention in each cottage. Sari & Alan are charming, welcoming and respectful. The pool delighted both the children and the adults, and the enclosed space allowed us to enjoy all the available sports facilities. A perfect weekend, serious owners, nothing but positive."

Our first clients of the season have arrived. Such a lovely family group! Blessed with sunshine and warmth.

We have done a lot of preparation and weeding (!) over the last weeks but have a good sense of achievement now. Happy weekend to everyone!

Location was excellent with all local amenities close by.

So as our first full season comes to a close it's time to look back on what has been a very busy summer at Angulus Ridet.
With bookings from the end of May through to the very end of August it's left us little time to reflect as changeovers for some large (17 people) and some small (7 people) groups have kept the owners out of mischief for many hours.
We've had a wide variety of guests from all over the world (French, Spanish, Finnish, British and Canadians to mention a few) some for a holiday week with multi-generations, some for special birthday celebrations and some just wanting a stopover break in the Loire valley on the way to or from the channel ports.
The reviews on TripAdvisor, Homeaway, Booking.com and Google for Business have all been 5 star with great feedback on the property and it's hosts, many many thanks to all those who took the trouble to post a review.
