If you only do one thing while in Greece… make it a boat tour around the island of Milos 🌊🇬🇷

I saw photos of that electric aqua water on Instagram before our trip and honestly thought it couldn’t possibly look like that in real life…

It does. It looks exactly like that!! Actually even better 🥹

Here’s exactly what our boat day looked like!!

And don’t forget to save this for your Milos trip!! 🗺

☀️ Board the boat first thing in the morning
🌊 Sail to a crystal blue swimming spot and dive in
🍺 Enjoy a cold Greek beer on the deck
🍽 Sit down for a delicious Greek lunch on board
🪨 Then arrive at the famous Kleftiko Caves…
🚤 Explore the caves and secret lagoons on a smaller dinghy boat
💙 Swim in what I can only describe as Gatorade blue water
🧗 And cliff jump straight into the sea!!

Honestly one of the most magical days of my entire life 😭

We went with Polco Sailing and would 100% recommend them!! The tour is about $200/person and SO worth it.

The only regret I have is not booking the tour that goes to Polyaigos island too!

Comment BOAT and I’ll send you my full blog post with all the details on our day and what tour we booked!! 💌

If you visit Greece, PLEASE go hungry!! 😭🇬🇷🍴

Here are some of the best foods from our trip:

🐙 Fresh octopus & calamari
We had incredible seafood all over the islands, but the octopus and calamari from Sunset Ammoudi in Santorini was top-tier!!

🥙 Gyros from Pito Gyros in Oia
We loved these SO much that we literally went back again before leaving Santorini. So cheap and so delicious!

🥐 Spanikopita
I grabbed this one at the Santorini airport and even the airport food in Greece was amazing 😂

🫒 Greek dips & mezze
The hummus and appetizers at Thalami Restaurant in Oia were SO good.

☕ Freddo cappuccino
If you like iced coffee, you NEED to try a Freddo cappuccino in Greece!! We had a few but the one at Galini Cafe on our Fira to Oia hike was yummmmyyyy

🐟 Fresh ceviche & seafood
Not traditional Greek food necessarily, but some of the seafood restaurants on Milos were INSANE. The ceviche from Astakas Cafe was genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!

🐙 More octopus 😂
The grilled octopus from Medusa Cafe in Mandrakia on Milos was another standout!!

🍍 Tuna ceviche from Sirocco Volcanic Restaurant
SO fresh and flavorful. Also their lemon potatoes were one of my favorite things we ate the entire trip - I keep trying to re-create them at home

🍺 Local Greek beer
Perfect after a beach day or while watching the sunset by the water 🤍

What Greek food would you want to try first?! 👀

Don’t visit Milos without knowing these… 😭🌊🐚

We absolutely fell in love with this island, but there were definitely a few things I wish we knew before visiting that would’ve made the trip even better!!

Here are my biggest Milos tips after visiting 👇

⚓️ Book a FULL DAY boat tour
This ended up being one of our favorite experiences in all of Greece!! The water around Milos seriously looks fake.

But if I could redo one thing, I would’ve booked a tour that also stopped at Polyaigos because the photos look INSANE.

🚙 Rent a car or ATV
Milos is NOT the kind of island where you can just stay in one town and walk everywhere. Having transportation gives you so much more freedom to beach hop, explore cute villages, and chase sunsets around the island.

We rented an ATV and had the best time 😂

✈️ You can fly directly from Athens
This surprised me! You can’t really fly island-to-island in Greece, but you can fly between Athens and Milos. Just know the airport is TINY and the planes are very small.

Morning flights are usually your safest bet because the winds can get intense later in the day.

📆 Visit during shoulder season if possible
We visited in early June and it was already busy. I’d personally LOVE to go back in late September next time.

Fewer crowds, warm water, and still amazing weather sounds like the dream 🤍

Milos honestly ended up being one of my favorite Greek islands because it feels adventurous AND relaxing at the same time!

One second you’re cliff jumping into turquoise water, and the next you’re eating seafood at a tiny beachside restaurant 😭

Would you visit Milos?! 🐚

Want to visit the Greek Islands this summer? 🇬🇷

Okay hear me out…

We fly to Athens first and then spend one week island hopping between Santorini and Milos 🥹🌊

One island gives iconic whitewashed villages, caldera sunsets, and hot tub views…

…and the other gives hidden beaches, insane turquoise water, cliff jumping, and sleepy seaside towns 🤍

Basically the PERFECT combo! 😍

Here’s the vibe:
☀️ Stay in a cliffside room with a hot tub overlooking the sea
🌅 Watch cotton candy sunsets in Oia
🖤 Relax on black sand beaches
🐙 Eat fresh octopus, ceviche, gyros, and way too much tzatziki
⛵️ Sail around Milos on a boat cruise to hidden caves + beaches
🌊 Cliff jump into the bluest water you’ve ever seen
🤍 Wander through adorable Greek seaside towns
🍹 End every night with ocean views and wine

I’ve done a decent amount of traveling at this point, and Greece is STILL one of the dreamiest trips I’ve ever taken 😭

Santorini and Milos are such a good pairing because they balance each other out perfectly:
✨ Santorini = dramatic, iconic, romantic
✨ Milos = relaxed, adventurous, underrated

A few random tips if Greece is on your bucket list:
✔️ Go in late May or September if you can
✔️ Ferry schedules matter more than you think 😂
✔️ Rent an ATV or car on both islands (but Milos more importantly)
✔️ Book boat tours early
✔️ Build in time to slow down and just relax 🥹

Send this to the person you want to island hop Greece with 🇬🇷💙

Pretty amazing, right?! 🫶🏼 (ad)

One of the BEST parts about being a travel blogger is making money from trips after you go on them🙏🏼

Basically, once I get back, I write super detailed blog posts about every aspect of the trip to help other people plan similar ones! 📝

For our Greece trip, this included:
• our overall one week itinerary
• shorter itineraries for each island we visited
• guides on where to stay and things to do for each island
• reviews of any tours we did (like a boat tour in Milos, for example!)

Within these blog posts, I include affiliate links to hotels, tours, rental cars, and more through 💙

Then, over time, people find these blog posts on Google, Pinterest, or even Instagram and read them💻

Some people will click and book through my affiliate links, and I earn a commission on those purchases!

This affiliate income, along with ads on those pages, has earned me over $4,000 (just on my Greece blog posts!!) 😱

How crazy is that?!

That’s enough to cover the cost of the trip and then some 😍

If you want to learn more about earning income through affiliate marketing, comment TPO for more details!

You’ll also get some special bonuses for using my link 😉

What questions do you have about earning through affiliates as a travel blogger?!

Milos might just be the most underrated island in all of Greece 🇬🇷

And after visiting in 2022, I can honestly say it’s one of my absolute favorite places I’ve ever been!!

Here are the activities you cannot miss while on the island👇🏼

⛵ Sailing Tour to Kleftiko Caves
• I still can’t stop thinking about this one!! Towering white cliffs, hidden pirate caves, and the most insane blue water I’ve ever seen in my life
• includes snorkeling, cliff jumping, swimming, and lunch on the boat!!

🌕 Explore Sarakiniko (Moon Beach)
• it genuinely feels like you’ve landed on the moon
• go early to beat the heat (those white rocks reflect EVERYTHING and there is zero shade)

🏘 Wander Through Plaka Village
• the most charming pedestrian-only hilltop village
• wander the cobblestone streets, browse boutique shops, watch the sunset at Plaka Castle

🎣 Visit the Fishing Village of Klima
• those colorful boathouses right on the water are straight out of a postcard!!
• grab a seaside table at Astakas for a sunset seafood dinner 🌅

🏖 Swim at Firiplaka Beach
• calm turquoise water + dramatic multicolored cliffs

🪜 Climb the Ladder Down to Tsigrado Beach
• the secluded cove waiting at the bottom feels like your own private paradise!

🌊 Explore Papafragas Caves and Beach
• a jaw-dropping narrow cove carved between towering rock walls

⛵ Day Trip to Polyaigos Island
• the largest uninhabited island in the Aegean - so sad we missed this one!!

🐙 Eat Fresh Octopus at Medusa (in Mandrakia)
• a tiny fishing village + a family-run taverna + the freshest grilled octopus on the island

🌊 Swim + Cliff Jump in Firopotomas
• this one is SO underrated — head to the end of the road by the church, find the ledge, and jump!!
• we had the whole spot to ourselves and it was one of my favorite moments from the whole trip 🥹

🍽 Have Dinner in Pollonia
• the most laid-back waterfront village for an evening meal, a slow stroll, and a beautiful sunset

POV: you only have 3 days in Milos and want to see the BEST of the island 😭🌊🐚

Save this itinerary because Milos seriously ended up being one of my favorite places in Greece!!

Between the unreal beaches, cliff jumping spots, sailing tours, and cute fishing villages… I already want to go back!

Here’s exactly how we spent 3 days in Milos🫶🏼

☀️ DAY 1
Start your trip at the iconic Sarakiniko Beach before the crowds show up! Then head over to the adorable fishing village of Firopotamos where you can swim and cliff jump right into the sea.

For lunch, grab seafood at Medusa in Mandrakia (the octopus was SO good), then explore the stunning Papafragas Caves.

End the day with sunset dinner in Pollonia overlooking the water 🤍

⛵️ DAY 2
Boat tour day!! This was honestly one of the highlights of our entire Greece trip.

Spend the day sailing around Milos and swimming in the insanely blue water at Kleftiko Caves 🏴‍☠️

If you can, book a FULL day sailing tour that also stops at Polyaigos Island because it looks unreal 🌊

Finish the night with sunset dinner in Plaka or Klima! 🌅

🏖️ DAY 3
Start your morning at Tsigrado Beach (you climb down a ladder to get there 👀) before relaxing at Firiplaka Beach.

Then head to Paleochori Beach where you can swim in volcanic hot spring water and have dinner right on the beach. Sirocco literally cooks food in the volcanic sand!!

Milos is SUCH a dream island and feels more adventurous and laid back compared to Santorini or Mykonos ✨

Dreaming of visiting Santorini someday? 🇬🇷💙

Here’s your mini guide to one of the most iconic Greek islands — from where to stay to how to get around, plus some of the BEST things to do while you’re there ✨

Santorini is famous for its whitewashed cliffside villages, blue domes, caldera views, incredible sunsets, and volcanic beaches… and honestly, it really does feel like a dream in person 😭

Here are a few things I wish I knew before visiting 👇

📍 WHERE IS SANTORINI?
Santorini is part of the Cyclades Islands in Greece and is located about 126 nautical miles from Athens.

✈️ HOW TO GET THERE
You can either fly or take a ferry! If you’re island hopping around Greece already, ferries are usually the easiest option since direct flights between islands can be limited.

🏨 WHERE TO STAY
Most people stay on the northwestern side of the island in Oia, Imerovigli, or Fira for those iconic caldera views.

We stayed at Kaleidoscope Cave Houses and absolutely LOVED it 🤍

🚗 HOW TO GET AROUND
There are a few options:
• Rental car or ATV
• Public buses
• Taxis/private transfers

We personally regretted not renting a vehicle because the buses were super slow and crowded during peak season 😅

🍴 BEST PLACES TO EAT
Some of our favorites:
• Sunset Ammoudi by Paraskevas
• Pitogyros in Oia
• Thalami Restaurant
• Melenio Cafe

🌊 MUST-DO ACTIVITIES
• Fira to Oia hike
• Cliff jumping in Ammoudi Bay
• Sunset catamaran cruise
• Visiting the black sand beaches
• Wine tasting
• Sunrise photos before the crowds show up

Santorini is definitely one of the more expensive Greek islands, but the views are honestly unreal and it’s such a bucket list destination ✨

Have you ever been to Santorini?! 🇬🇷

Comment “SANTORINI” and I’ll send you my full Santorini itinerary with hotel recommendations, hidden gems, transportation tips, restaurants, and more!

Oia was not what I expected… it was SO much better 🥹🇬🇷

I know everyone says Santorini is overhyped. But Oia completely won us over!!

Yes, it gets busy (especially at sunset when the crowds roll in 😅).

But staying here means you get the early morning magic before the crowds, caldera views from your hot tub, and the most gorgeous golden light at the end of every day!!

Here are all the things we did in Oia (or wish we did!) that made it so unforgettable 🫶🏼

🌅 Watch the sunset from the castle ruins
🌄 Wake up early for sunrise photos (trust me on this one!!)
🤿 Swim + cliff jump at Ammoudi Bay
🐙 Sunset dinner right on the water
☕️ Sip a Freddo Cappuccino with caldera views
🍋 Try the baklava
🛵 Rent an ATV to explore beyond the village
📚 Browse Atlantis Books
🥾 Hike from Fira to Oia for the craziest views

Save this for your Santorini trip!! 🗺
