The worst is behind us. ❤️

Over the past days, Cotignac and the surrounding villages have shown incredible resilience in the face of one of the region’s most challenging wildfires.

While firefighters continue their work on the remaining hot spots and the surrounding massifs remain closed as a precaution, life in Cotignac is steadily finding its rhythm again. The village, its cafés, restaurants and local businesses are ready to welcome visitors once more.

This would not have been possible without an extraordinary collective effort.

A heartfelt thank you to the Mairie de Cotignac, the numerous firefighters, emergency services, police, gendarmerie, military personnel, forest services, pilots, volunteers, local farmers who supplied water and equipment, and every single person who stood together to protect this beautiful corner of Provence.

To everyone who sent messages, offered help, or kept Cotignac in their thoughts: thank you.

Now, more than ever, visiting Cotignac is a wonderful way to support the people who make this village so special.

1 — Savour the best baguettes of your life 2 — Take a moment to really absorb the atmosphere 3 — Discover local artists at the Cercle des Arts 4 — Stroll through a vibrant yet cosy local market filled with fresh regional produce 5 — Visit the waterfall of Cotignac before it dries up for summer 6 — Immerse yourself in the French atmosphere and join a local festivity 7 — Go and find the countless centuries-old fountains and washhouses dotted all over the village 8 — Stop by the 16th-century olive mill and explore the iconic tuff cliffs 9 — Get lost in the tiny streets of Cotignac 10 — Hike up to Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Grâces and enjoy the view

Cotignac isn’t packed with famous landmarks or bucket-list attractions. It’s simply one of those places where life slows down, the rosé tastes better, and every corner seems made for wandering. 💛

Sometimes you just head out to the supermarket… and come back with a story 🐑
On our way, we crossed paths with a shepherd guiding over 1000(!) sheep, one cow and a couple of stubborn goats. An impressive sight: a never-ending flow of animals grazing peacefully, moving from one open field to the next, all carefully guided and protected by watchful sheepdogs.
Moments like these make you slow down and take it all in.
Not exactly your average trip to the supermarket 😉
