Gardens are bursting into bloom and signs of spring are in the air despite the recent rains. Sadly my lovely guests from Barcelona Carlos and Isabel left after staying with their beautiful border collies for the month of February; A repeat visit from last year - was sad to see them go but left with memories of their wonderful hospitality of a Paella made with a french twist of Canard and Foie! Hurry back guys. X

Happy New Year to all.............Although not quite spring, guests are already enjoying 'DEER HOUSE' regardless of the weather - Yesterday, my lovely guests and their dogs arrived from Barcelona, only a few months since they were last here. Looking forward to their kind invitation to join them in a true traditional Paella, can't wait.

All beautiful and cosy at DEER HOUSE, log fires burning, smell of pine cones, peace and quiet reigns after a very busy year.
Lot's to look forward to with changes taking place ready for the new season.

BE MY GUEST - Autumn leaves continue to fall, the changing of the season bringing it's own beauty to 'DEER HOUSE'. The comforts that it brings can only be described as, peaceful, warm, contentment, surrounded by nature and the delights of the regions foods and wines.

Waking up to a warm autumn morning, bird song and watching three deer grazing in the field, I'm grateful to have a place away from it all and being able to share all it has to offer with my guests.
