This year we commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Dunkirk and Operation Dynamo, as well as the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the town.
Around 60 Dunkirk Little Ships will return to Dunkirk from 21st to 25th May.
A parade will take place in the town centre on Sunday 25th May in the afternoon. More information to come on

On 5th July, the first French stage of the 2022 Tour de France will depart from Dunkerque Malo les Bains. After the first stages in Denmark, the riders will arrive in Dunkerque in the evening of Sunday 3rd July.

After the Grand Départ in 2001, Dunkirk is hosting the French northermost stage of the Tour de France 2022, on Tuesday 5th July

Last Saturday, 31st May, exactly 81 years after the dramatic shipwreck of paddle steamer Crested Eagle, we went to Zuydcoote beach to shoot a short video. As you can see in the picture, the wreck of the Crested Eagle is behind Fred, one of our battlefield tour guides who improvised himself a presenter for the occasion.

Yesterday, the commemoration at the Allied Memorial on Dunkirk beach took place on a much smaller scale than planned. Of course, we particularly missed our British and Belgian friends!

As a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic the committee of the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships has decided to postpone the Return to Dunkirk in May, 2020.
We hope to welcome the Little Ships back in Dunkirk in 2021.
