France has opened up and so has the business. We are looking forward to receiving our guests during the summer months and so far we have two weeks vacant from July to September :)
The pool is being opened up next week and there is plenty of gardening to do (as always). Take care everyone and hopefully see you soon.

Another week in South Western France. We continue to garden and keep the properties in tip top condition for our guests.
Had a lovely art lesson at Chabanais yesterday, painting the river view at Chabanais. We are very happy to report we got 5 star reviews :) from satisfied customers.

A warm weekend in South Western France :) The pool has been officially opened by Heather as it reached a temperature of 80F / 27C. Noodles (for swimming on) and a gin and tonic marked the occasion. Summer is officially here and we are looking forward to our busiest time of the year.
This week we took our final booking at La Garenne for the summer season, we are now full up until September.

A week of maintenance work that no one will notice :)
We have spent the week cleaning and painting. The houses look lovely. Chabanais has a shiny newly painted front door and refreshed paint on the windows. The floor in the main living room has been buffed back to shiny lovely-ness :D
Exideuil has a fully functioning pool and the shading installed over the patios.
Gardening continues as normal, two cuts of the grass per week and we are now dead heading roses as the first blooms start to fade.
Looking forward to our guests during the summer.
We have also introduced a new "Art" experience for our AirBnB visitors. A chance to spend a couple of hours in the Chabanais art studio, "doing" art. Water colours or Acrylics and a whole load of encouragement :) Lets see if it proves popular

Lizards, lacquer and leaks
Spent a very busy weekend working on the properties. Good Friday afternoon at the Chabanais house chasing a rogue lizard around the house before our guests for the weekend arrived (mission accomplished :) Lizard back in the court yard). Then moved to La Garenne and spent Saturday and Sunday applying lacquer to the outside furniture and the sun deck next to the pool. Today we have connected the pool pump and started to fill the pool to its summer level, all the time checking for leaks from the pipework. Pool should be working next week although a little cool for most folks :)
