🎉🚢 I DID IT! I’m officially a CLIA Certified Cruise Counsellor (CCC)! 🥂⚓️

I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve earned my Certified Cruise Counsellor (CCC) designation through Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) — the world’s largest cruise industry trade association.

And this one means a lot to me. ❤️

You may be surprised to know that not every Travel Advisor who sells cruises is professionally certified in cruise travel. In fact, industry research has historically shown that fewer than 1 in 5 travel advisors held a CLIA professional certification.

So what does having CCC after my name actually mean for my clients?

This isn’t a certification you receive simply by taking one online class.

To earn the designation, I had to complete extensive CLIA cruise-industry education and testing, professional development, ship inspection experience, documented cruise bookings, and personal cruise experience.

In other words — I’ve invested the time to really learn this industry, more than my 25+ years of personal cruising ;).

And I believe that matters when you’re trusting someone with your vacation.

There are dozens of cruise lines, hundreds of ships, thousands of itineraries and an overwhelming number of cabin categories, packages, promotions and options.

Anyone can go online and book a cruise.

My job is to help you book the RIGHT cruise. 🚢

The right cruise line.
The right ship.
The right itinerary.
The right cabin.
And the right experience for the way you want to travel.

Professional certifications like the CCC are important to me because I want my clients to know that I’m continually investing in my education, experience and industry knowledge — not simply selling travel.

And I'm not stopping here. 😉 This is just another step in continuing to expand my cruise expertise.

Who says you need a passport to have an adventure? 🍾✈️

Confession time...even travel advisors don't hop on a plane every weekend. 😉

Last week, instead of chasing another stamp in my passport, I played tourist in my own town—and it was exactly the reminder I needed.

A friend was visiting, so we skipped the usual spots and explored somewhere new together.

We wandered through the incredible Carlos Museum at Emory, stepping into ancient Egypt, admiring artifacts thousands of years old, and yes...coming face-to-face with real mummies. (Highly recommend if you're in Atlanta!)

Then we fueled up with a fresh organic lunch, ended the evening with live music from Woody's, and were reminded that some of the best memories don't require TSA, baggage fees, or delayed flights.

✨ Travel isn't just about how far you go.
It's about staying curious.

I'm incredibly honored (and honestly still a little in disbelief!) to share that I've been recognized as one of Famvia's Top 10 Travel Advisors for the third consecutive month!

To be ranked in the Top 10 out of more than 400 travel advisors is something I don't take for granted.

Well... this year it actually IS Saturday AND the Fourth of July! 🇺🇸😂

Looks like the guys from Chicago finally got it right... they were just about 50 years early for America's 250th birthday! 🎂🎆

Wishing everyone a day filled with great food, good friends, fireworks, and just enough patriotic music to have that song stuck in your head all weekend.

And if you immediately started singing the song when you read this... congratulations!

You're officially old enough to appreciate good music... and there's a pretty good chance your back hurts a little too. I know some great chiropractors. 🤣🇺🇸

🇮🇹 Italy stole my heart nearly 20 years ago... and I've been returning ever since.

My first trip to Italy was back in 2006. What started as a vacation quickly became a lifelong love affair with this incredible country. Since then, I've returned again and again, exploring new cities, hidden villages, breathtaking coastlines, vineyards, and unforgettable culinary experiences. In fact, my love for Italy runs so deep that I'm currently planning my own honeymoon for Spring 2027 with multiple stops throughout Italy so I can experience even more of what this amazing country has to offer.

Every visit teaches me something new.

One trip might be spent wandering the romantic canals of Venice. Another might be sipping wine in Tuscany, getting lost in the colorful streets of the Amalfi Coast, exploring ancient ruins in Rome, or discovering charming local restaurants tucked away from the tourist crowds.
