Dal Plateau di Valensole a Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. Passando per l'Abbazia di Senanque nel Luberon e la sorgente della Sorgue fino ad una degustazione improvvisata di formaggio di capra sulle creste delle Gole del Verdon... Oysters are grown in Normandy on raised beds. Net bags holding up to 20kg of oysters are placed on the bed allowing them to be periodically in and out of water according to the daily tide. It is told that right after the II war, there were so many American hospital beds that locals started to use them for this purpose. From there the typical iron structures that we see today.

Everyday is a new gift! Surprisingly pleasent encounters that always end up around a table with a (very) important amount of food, wine and chats. Renato Carletti of went back to the family business of fruits orchards and salumi making after studying and teaching sociology in Italy and the States.

Dal momento in cui ci ha aperto la porta, fino a quando ci siamo pesantemente alzati da tavola alle 16,è stato come passare una giornata a teatro. Scenografie fatte di salami e culatello, coppe e cotechino appesi un po' ovunque. Una piacevole squadra tutta maschile di Macellai, fratelli, e padre e amici di amici che passano davanti al pentolone di brodo bollente. Ah e cani, diversi cani di tutti i colori che osservano rispettosamente (ma con evidente ansia) il salame. Tovaglie a fiori e scale a chiocciola. Minestra "verza matta" che, si vero c'è della verza, ma soprattutto brodo d'ossa di maiale e salamella,riso e quell'aggiunta all'ultimo di prezzemolo fresco che fa respirare un po' il tutto. Belle bottiglie di bollicine francesi e bellissime bottiglie di rosso frizzante homemade senza etichetta.

Insomma, oggi da hípster si chiamerebbe esperienza multi sensoriale. In realtà è vita di tutti i giorni. Quando si sa vivere.

Molte grazie. Torneremo per la fioritura dei ciliegi (o anche meglio per la raccolta).

I have a weak spot for wild thyme flowers, as they are the quintessential of good AND beautiful.

One of the most characteristics ingredients of Provençal cuisine, as well as of its landscapes.

In this picture its bright pink flowers contrast beautifully with the black clay of the low hills behind the villages of Peipin and Châteauneuf-val-saint-Donat, in the Alpes de Haute Provence.

I woke up today feeling like: I really have to use all that goat kid meat that I have in the freezer. Some thyme would be great for the marinade. And that is how with the help of my neighbour and her kids we put up a foraging team. For a passionate cook Provence is the dream land of aromatic herbs. Just a few door—steps away you can easily forage for wild thyme, rosemary and savory. Who needs a supermarket??!!

Temperatures are low here in the at the moment,night-time going down to - 6. During the day thou they go up slightly above 0 bringing some snow. One thing that never changes: the unexpected beauty of the sunlight. After a day of snow one last sunshine before the night gave us this beautiful show.

Growing up in Florence I never had a dog. Now, when I go back, I am amazed of the new places and sights of the city that I am discovering thanks to my walks with Missterre.

During my youth the ARNO river banks were infested by rats and big coypus,making them absolutely uninviting.
But today they are much better cared for and the shores offer fascinating wild corners, where Missterre-as a good bird dog as she is- enjoys pointing at the surprising varied wildlife.

As for me I love to discover new points of view to my beloved and majestic city.

I love my home, my little corners of confortable and practical relax. I can't imagine someone else creating my interior design. My home grows with me, with the people I cross on the path of life. The memories, the gifts, the little (and not so little things" you move for years from one house to the other, one country to the other.
