Another wonderful day on the landing beaches

This week, I had the pleasure of welcoming four cruise guests for a private tour of the D-Day landing beaches and the Battle of Normandy.

Standing on Omaha Beach, with the sea behind us and the Monument to the Braves in the background, we discussed the incredible courage of the young men who landed here on June 6, 1944. Moments like these remind me why I love sharing Normandy’s history with visitors from around the world.

Every tour is different, but the emotion of standing where history happened never fades.

One of the greatest rewards of being a guide is meeting wonderful people while sharing the stories that shaped our world.

Thank you for a fantastic day, for your curiosity, your thoughtful questions, and your wonderful company. It was a true pleasure to spend the day with you and to introduce you to this remarkable part of Normandy.

Yesterday’s transfer from Honfleur to Paris became more than just a journey.

After about an hour on the road, we stopped in Giverny, where our guests enjoyed lunch before visiting Claude Monet’s house and gardens. During the visit, we shared the story of Monet’s life, explored some of the paintings that shaped his artistic evolution, and walked through the places that inspired his most iconic works.

From the colorful flower gardens to the famous water lily pond, the Japanese bridge, and Monet’s home, Giverny offers a beautiful pause between Normandy and Paris.

This is an experience we can often include during private transfers between Honfleur and Paris, or Paris and Honfleur — turning a simple transfer into a memorable cultural stop along the way.

La semaine dernière, nous avons accueilli notre plus grand groupe français à ce jour. Ce groupe d’amis, venu d’Honfleur, a réalisé avec nous notre tour classique du Débarquement de Normandie. ✨

La visite guidée s’est déroulée à 100 % en français, en retraçant les différentes histoires des plages du D-Day et les difficultés qu’ont rencontrées les forces alliées pour franchir le Mur de l’Atlantique le 6 juin 1944, et ainsi changer le court de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. 🪖

Chez Your Normandy Tour, nous sommes fiers d’accueillir aussi une clientèle française, en partageant les anecdotes propres à chaque site, toujours avec la même passion qui nous anime.

Yesterday, we welcomed a family of four for our classic D-Day landing beaches tour 🪖⚙️

As we explored the key sites of June 6th, we also passed by one of the local museums featuring tanks and war machines recovered from the seabed — a striking reminder of the scale of the battle beneath the waves.

Our clients were especially curious about these underwater relics, and we were more than happy to adapt the route so they could take a closer look at one of the rusted tanks resting by Omaha Beach.
