We have just been scammed
Because I cannot cope with the extra work, we take a minimum of 2 months rentals. A lot less money but less work. We accepted in January a two month booking for April for an American couple. When Mr and mrs Lorenzo arrived, they explained that they may have to cut their stay down to 1 month because of the war in the middle east and the cost of jet fuel. That was a bit annoying but understandable, but no problem.
Because their daughter was coming to stay and their arrival was late, I did not get the money up front. 6 days later, I received an email saying our property was substandard and they had left. I am Just posting this as they are still travelling in France, and I would hate to see some other hard-working person fall into the same trap.
1600€ turned into 300€ donation to The Epona Trust

We know how expensive everything is now and the price of the ferries is putting a holiday to France out of reach for many people. Everything here is included. sheets towels. heating, electricity. based on 6 people staying you only pay 29€ per night per double bedroom. If you want the whole house to yourself it will be a whopping 75€ per night. minimum 1 week.
