Forge is a luxury villa for rent and sits in its own domain of 50 hectares of park, woods and lakes. We are in the Vienne 86.

Today’s harvest…anyone that thinks it is easy to grow your own food probably hasn’t actually tried it. It’s hard, especially if you want to grow organic food. The more I try and grow the more respect I have for farmers.

Today I rescued a lesser spotted woodpecker baby. Found on my steps so I made it a little nest and it had a sleep then flew off to the woods.

We have such a variety of different grasses growing here at forge and some of it has grown taller than me.

It looks like today was a damselfly speed dating day. There were hundreds of mating damselflies on the pond.
