🏔 Have you thought about the impact of the clothing we all wear for the sports we love?!
⛷ There is an interesting dichotomy with the outdoor gear industry; the customer base who buy technical outdoor gear to enjoy spending time outdoors fund a market which damages the very environment they enjoy spending time in. But we can do something about this! France has voted on a new law to ban harmful PFAs which are found in sports clothing (amongst many other items), certain brands are developing other fabrics, and we can all look after our outdoor wear to make them last longer and choose second hand where possible!

🏔 Avez-vous pensé à l'impact des vêtements que nous portons tous pour pratiquer les sports que nous aimons ?
⛷ Il existe une dichotomie intéressante dans l'industrie du matériel de plein air : la clientèle qui achète du matériel technique pour passer du temps en plein air finance un marché qui endommage l'environnement dans lequel elle aime passer du temps. Mais nous pouvons faire quelque chose ! La France a voté une nouvelle loi interdisant les PFA nocifs que l'on trouve dans les vêtements de sport (entre autre choses), certaines marques développent d'autres tissus, et nous pouvons tous prendre soin de nos vêtements de plein air pour les faire durer plus longtemps et les choisir d'occasion lorsque c'est possible !

🇬🇧 will be extended this summer to include the Charniaz chairlift, making good on the promise to open up new trails and sectors across the mountain area. Access to Charniaz will be via the Granges trail, which was remodelled last autumn. You can also use the Nabor and Viking magic carpets for easier access to Granges. The top of Charniaz gives you a direct route into too. This extended opening will take place between Saturday 5th June to Sunday 31st August 2025 👍
MORZINE BIKE PARK OPENING DATES:
🚲 Pre-opening week-end from Friday 6th to Monday 9th June 2025
🚲 Continuous opening of the bike park from Friday 13th June to Sunday 14th September 2025

L’accès à Charniaz se fera par la piste des Granges, remodelée à l’automne dernier. Vous pourrez également emprunter les tapis roulants Nabor et Viking pour accéder plus facilement à Granges. Le sommet de Charniaz vous offre également un accès direct au . Cette ouverture prolongée aura lieu du samedi 5 juin au dimanche 31 août 2025 👍

🇬🇧 We go again, this time confirming the Winter 24/25 opening dates for the Portes du Soleil’s highest resort, Avoriaz 1800

🚠 The confirmed opening dates are ***Friday 13th December 2024 until Monday 21st April 2025***
❄️ As you might imagine, hopes for pre-season opening weekends in advance of the official opening, should snow conditions allow
⛷️ There are 35 ski lifts, 51 pistes and 4 snow parks in as well as easy access to the rest of the

Bonjour to everyone arriving in , and this week for your annual slide on snow! Here’s a few housekeeping bits to help you make the most of your holiday…

⛷️ You’re looking at the Pleney and thinking ‘heck, where’s the snow?’ but it’s up there, I promise! (Little Wild took this pic today). The beginner areas are entirely open, as are the links between the villages. Granted, there’s no snow hanging from the trees right now, it’s hard packed in the mornings (maybe consider getting your edges done at Caribou or Hubert Sports) and soft in the afternoons, but you can still have a lovely time across Domaine skiable et de loisirs de Morzine and Les Gets

🚠 Up in Avoriaz 1800 there’s still plenty of snow to go around, most of the ski area is open, as are the links into the Portes du Soleil. Again, you’ll need sharp edges. Head out early and aim for Domaine skiable de Champéry, Les Crosets, Champoussin, Morgins to find quieter pistes.
