Bonjour to everyone arriving in , and this week for your annual slide on snow! Here’s a few housekeeping bits to help you make the most of your holiday…
⛷️ You’re looking at the Pleney and thinking ‘heck, where’s the snow?’ but it’s up there, I promise! (Little Wild took this pic today). The beginner areas are entirely open, as are the links between the villages. Granted, there’s no snow hanging from the trees right now, it’s hard packed in the mornings (maybe consider getting your edges done at Caribou or Hubert Sports) and soft in the afternoons, but you can still have a lovely time across Domaine skiable et de loisirs de Morzine and Les Gets
🚠 Up in Avoriaz 1800 there’s still plenty of snow to go around, most of the ski area is open, as are the links into the Portes du Soleil. Again, you’ll need sharp edges. Head out early and aim for Domaine skiable de Champéry, Les Crosets, Champoussin, Morgins to find quieter pistes.
🥩 Book your restaurant tables in advance, both for lunch on the mountain and dinner in the village. Head for the restaurant directory page on our website for our recommendations - https://www.morzinesourcemagazine.com/business-categories/restaurants/
☀️ I prefer not to forecast the weather as these are the mountains and everything is very changeable right now but it looks like a sunny week ahead.
🔵 Make sure you’re following our Piste X Code campaign and remind yourself of the rules of the piste before you take to the slopes.
📚 We’ve restocked our magazines across the villages, holler at me if you can’t find one and I’ll direct you to a stockist.
🪩 If you do one thing this week… throw some shapes during apres at Le Tremplin, Morzine and tag us in your pics
Have an amazing holiday , and lovers!
