A very talented guest is staying in La Maison Rouge for a few weeks with her husband and two dogs. She just gave us this fabulous watercolour drawing of the gîte! How fabulous is that! We will get it framed and put up in the gîte as soon as possible!

A lovely visit to the Mouton Village in Vasles with my little niece. So many different breeds of sheep, other animals and play park all set in 6 hectares. Lovely walk with lots of shady areas and picnic benches for lunch! Perfect for young families and those who love animals and a calm relaxing trip out.

Our second foal arrived on Saturday evening! Another beautiful boy we have called Paco. He is currently bonding with his mum but we can’t wait to see him out in the field with Percy!

The first Shetland pony foal to be born at Forest Gîtes arrived safely yesterday morning! His posh name is Perseus de Forest but we call him Percy and he is a gorgeous little one. He doesn’t know it yet but I am sure he will be excited to meet all our guests this season and show off his moves! This was a much anticipated arrival as he was 11 days late so we are glad he is finally here! His mother Kératine is doing well to and also doing a great job looking after her baby.
