कहानी हिन्दुस्तान मोटर्स की एम्बेसेडर की -

क्या "Hatchback" क्या "Sedan", मैं थी हिन्दुस्तान की शान। क्या "SUV" क्या " Station Wagon" मैं भारत का थी अभिमान।

लगभग पांच दशकों के इस लम्बे सफर में भी मेरा स्थान कोई चुरा ना पाया। बिना "ABS" व "EBD" के भी मेरी गोद में मानव ने खुद को सदैव ही अधिक सुरक्षित पाया।

ना "Open SunRoof" ना ही "Climate Control" वाली थी। किंतु जरा बैठने वालों से पूछो की कितनी हवादार कहलाती थी।

चाहें टूटी सड़कें हो शहरों की या गांव की पगडण्डी हो दुश्वार; सफर मेरा कोई रोक ना पाया। जहाँ जीप का जाना भी था दुष्कर; वहाँ भी इंसान ने मुझको दौड़ता पाया।

"मौरिस आक्सफोर्ड" के वंश से निकली थी पर "हिन्दुस्तान मोटर्स" ने अपनाया था। "सी.के. बिरला समूह" ने "उत्तरपारा संयंत्र" से मुझको देश के हर कोने में पहुँचाया था।

राजनेताओं से लेकर नौकरशाहों तक की गति को मैने कुछ इस तरह दशकों तक धार दी। सपेरों के राष्ट्र के रूप में प्रसिद्ध भारत की छवि तीव्र आर्थिक-तकनीकि विकास वाले राष्ट्र के रूप में तार दी।

पांच दशकों के इस लम्बे सफर ने अचानक वर्ष 2014 में विश्राम पाया। जब मेरे Brand Name को खरीदने एक विदेशी खरीददार आया।

इस तरह मात्र सत्तर करोड़ में मैं फ्रांसीसी कम्पनी "Peugeot" की हो गयी। सदियों से जो थी मेरी पहचान, वो अचानक से कहीं खो गई।

आज सड़कों पर नहीं दौड़ती, ना शोरूमों में बसती हूँ। पर लाखों दीवानों के अरमानों की हस्ती हूँ।

कुछ इस तरह मर कर भी हो गयी अमर हूँ मैं। सड़क पर ना सही लोगों के दिलों में जारी सफर हूँ मैं।

Happy there is Fearless Nadia on the poster

FIAF and FHF are delighted to announce their partnership to conduct the 3rd edition of the Biennial Audio-Visual Archival Summer School (BAVASS) in New Delhi at the India International Centre from 10 - 19 October 2023.

In an effort to aid the film poster and hoarding artists of the past, FHF commissioned Khersaheb, a skilled painter from Old Delhi with years of experience in creating captivating film posters and hoardings. Khersaheb utilized his expertise to paint this stunning artwork on canvas.

BAVASS 2023 is open to applicants from all over the world. Applications open on July 14, 2023!

A master wielder of form and light, Balkrishna Doshi, who passed away on 24 January, 2023, at the age of 95, has left an indelible legacy. His contribution to architecture, art, life, culture and philosophy will be remembered forever. He spent his early career working with celebrated architects Le Corbusier and Louis Kahn. He made India proud with international accolades including the Pritzker Prize in 2018 and RIBA’s Royal Gold Medal for 2021.
