I love local fairs and this is the annuel ´foire aux plantes’ in Pailhes, Ariège.

Set along the river with lots of plants, especially for the ´potager’ and delicious homemade food and drinks. Add a lovely sunny day and life is good!

Carla Bayle is a colourful arty village with gorgeous views, an amazing church, a few restaurants and some nice little art galleries. Definitely worth more visits!

The perfect day for exploring the area! First stop the weekly market at Montbrun Bocage.
It reminded me of a small Esperaza but less touristy and more hippyish organic. We found lots of products we like and which can be harder to find in the Aude.
