It's an old video, but all still relevant, even following the pandemic. We are working on integrated train + trek holiday packages to make it easy for everyone from northern Europe (UK, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Germany if they are inclined) to take the train to the Pyrenees, with great stop-overs on the way. We have one more stop on our Pyrenees France-Spain Mediterranean trip to verify and then we'll have a fully tested package with trains, hiking in the mountains and some lounging by the sea at the end. Watch this space !

Of course you can't just come to Morocoo for a walk ! All the rest beckons. From Rick's Café in Casablanca and the Hassan II Mosque, to Ait Ben Haddou and the desert nomad camp. It's all here in a big, wonderfully colourful and complex country. The drive north to Fes from the desert took us through green high pastures and forests with macaque monkeys. Fes medina is all they say. I've had my hair washed and bought a new change purse. Others have dived in to buy lamps and carpets and find a massage.

Walking in the Valley of the Roses in the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Every day held a surprise ! Almost biblical landscapes. Family gardens full of birds, wheat, barley, lucerne, veges, fig, walnut and pomegranate trees. Damascus roses mark the borders between plots, and collecting their wonderful smelling flowers has developed into an additional industry. Nomads herd goats and sheep on the high plateau. They leave the manure in exchange for grazing rights and shelter in caves above the villages. The manure is then collected to fertilise the gardens. It's a good trade ! Mud brick houses and kasbah offer cool shelters. The mix of old and new construction techniques is interesting. Ask about our next trip in May 2027. [email protected] :-)
