Carp Fishing and Holiday Gite rental with private jacuzzi, terrace, gardens and swimming pool.

Tony and family had a wonderful week here, with Tony catching this beautiful common (Jon's favourite common 😉) at 36lb. What a stunner 😍 Though it doesn't like being photographed and beat him up something rotten 😆
Tony also had another 8 carp ranging from a little 14lb common that wanted in on the action, through to another 4 in the high 20s.... 3 of which will be 30s soon... and also another 2 in the 30s.
At one point it was action central as he had 2 rods go off at the same time, and brilliantly, and safely landed both carp in the same net. All the fish are looking in great shape 👍🏻😊
Some lovely carp for Mick and Tony, biggest being 48lb, with another 3 over 30lb, 3 just under 29lb and a mid 20 too. Not fished every day or every night either. Teddy got in for some lakeside cuddles, with Sam and Simone enoying the gite and being down by the lake too. Also getting in some time to spot satellites going over and to watch the stars 🌟
A slow start for the first couple of days, then Joe sussed out the fish and the method, and him and Andrew were off. The result was 9 in the 20s and upper 20s, 4 to 35lb, and on the last night, a lovely 38lb and a 47lb too. There were also 3 carp that were lost. Two monster pike were also landed. Great fishing guys 😉
Some nice family time also spent down by the lake and in the gite garden, whirlpool bath and pool. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon 😊
Only 10 minutes away from us 👍🏻 For July and August guests it could be a nice evening out 😊😉

Not an easy start... but Joe sussed the tactics, and after a couple of 20s, he landed a 34lb closely, followed by Andrew with a young scaley mirror 👍🏻😊
New PB for Gary of 42lb 👏💪, though he did break his PB with a 38lb2oz earlier in the week and then smashed it again 😁 Frank had a harder time on his spots but still had 3 lovely carp to 22lb.
Between them, they landed 8 carp and a tench (and it was a beaut of about 4lb) and lost one carp right at the net 😕.
Considering the temperatures were around 32C most days, they did well! All from the woodland swim.
The rest of the family enjoyed the garden, swimming pool, whirlpool bath (at a lower temperature!) and made good use of the local boulangeries for pastries etc 😉
Already booked in for 2026 AND 2027 😁 Can't wait to see you all again 🥰
Very high temperatures last week, but that didn't stop Sam from getting a new PB of 32lb, then later in the week breaking that with a new PB of 33lb 😁👏. 10 carp between Sam and James with not every night or day fished during the week
Family days out to the Refuge de l'Arche to see the animals, La Rincerie with it's lake (and lots more), also to the parks in Craon and Cosse-le-vivien so the kids could use the play equipment. And, of course, our treasure hunt and the pool 😎
Such a lovely week, and we can't wait to see all of you again 🥰

Lel and Jon Miller had the dream to move to France many years ago but the time was not right. Then in August 2018 everything just started to click into place. Lel’s job was at risk, Jon needed a change from the same old job, and importantly both children were both happily in their own homes.
Almost immediately we found and fell in love with Les Ravalières in the Pays de la Loire between Rennes and Le Mans. A totally enclosed property with a gatehouse to convert into our Gite, family home for us, and the all important lake built by Mr Gallien for his family.
We had wanted to move to France for a long time, 2018 was THE time! Our dream home with carp lake was bought and we were on our way!
It was meant to be, obviously.
“The stars aligned”, “ducks in a row” so to speak!
Things moved quickly and we moved in December 2018! Selling our house, finding and completing on our new home in a few short months.
Christmas 2018 was spent at Les Ravalières with Jim the Giant Schnauzer and work started on the grounds, lake and renovating and converting the gatehouse into a comfortable and relaxing holiday Gite.
We have worked hard converting the gatehouse into a relaxing Gite for couples, families and fishing groups.
We know that not everyone wants to fish so we have made a holiday venue where you can relax in the garden, endulge in the Jacuzzi/hot tub - maybe with a beer or glass of wine?
We have stocked our lake with mirror and common carp ranging up to 40lb. The lake is also home to some zander, pike, roach and rudd.
Please come to Les Ravalières and and have your holiday with us and share our little piece of heaven :)
