Just love being in this kitchen with it's huge table(s), range oven and stacks of vintage tableware. Wish I could bottle the sounds and smells that must fill it when families and friends gather.

Note to self : need to plot a fabulous gathering!

Another special spot. I often settle here with a coffee and daydream.

We found the bed frame in the loft . Resisted the temptation to paint over the patina. It reflects the colour of the soil.

The front door; one of my most favourite places. It's so beautifully designed, tiny recessed catches allow the panes of glass to be opened.

Bathed in a delicious cool breeze I wonder about the many hands that have opened these windows over almost 200 years.

On Sundays nearby comes alive as the morning market animates its medieval centre. Stock up on artisanal cheeses and charcuterie to accompany a glass or two of chilled chardonnay whilst people watching to the sound track of local personality Remy Indiana. A fine way to spend a Sunday morning !
