✨ Gloria’s Homecoming ✨

After a week of adventures in the rolling green hills of the Mayenne, Gloria is back in Berlin at last. Her arrival was greeted with a gleeful reunion with her best friend, Glanz — tails wagging, eyes sparkling, as though they had never been apart. A heartfelt merci and farewell was shared with the poodle crew, who had kept Glanz in such fine company during her travels. 🐾💖

Now, back in her city apartment, Gloria gazes out over the dazzling lights of Berlin. In the distance lies the Grunewald forest, a reminder of nature — but it isn’t quite the same as the wide-open fields and soft hills she left behind in France.

With a smile, she uncorks a bottle of velvety Saumur Champigny wine she carefully brought home, pours a glass, and settles beside Glanz. “You’d love it there,” she whispers, stroking his head. “The wide-open spaces, the rivers, the sunshine… what do you say — shall we make another adventure?” 🌿🍷✨

Perhaps this is the end of her French escape… or maybe it’s only the beginning of the next chapter...

✨ Day Seven: Gloria Says Au Revoir… for Now ✨
Sunday morning arrived all too soon, and with it Gloria’s last hours in the Mayenne. She lingered over her petit déjeuner at the gîte - golden croissants still warm from the bakery in the village, fresh baguette with creamy local butter, and a jar of homemade jam bought earlier in the week at the market. The peaceful garden around her felt like it was saying goodbye too.
After a quick clean and a fond glance around her Mayenne Holidays couples gîte, Gloria closed the door on what had truly been a home away from home. By afternoon, she was on her way to Laval, ready to board the sleek TGV that would speed her back to Paris. Watching the French countryside fly past the window — rolling fields, sleepy towns, and church steeples - she felt as though she were travelling through the pages of a living postcard.
Back in Paris, Gloria allowed herself one last indulgence before her journey home: a leisurely dinner at a cosy bistro. She savoured every bite - rich French onion soup, a perfectly cooked steak-frites, and of course, a glass of velvety red wine. Outside, the streets buzzed with evening energy, and in the distance the Eiffel Tower sparkled against the night sky.
Finally, it was time. With her suitcase in hand and heart full of memories, Gloria made her way to the station to catch the overnight sleeper train back to Berlin. As the train pulled out, she leaned against the window, already dreaming of reuniting with her best friend Glanz and the poodle crew - and wondering when her next French adventure might begin.
