A quick little trip through Villefranche-sur-mer before the cruise ship crowds arrive in the village.

This lovely village is just 15 minutes from Nice by bus, or you can walk here in about an hour.

Well worth a visit and an even better location if you are thinking of moving to this part of the south of France.

Have you visited the Sanremo Underground?

Just a short distance from the seafront, this area called, La Pigna because the alleyways are in the shape of a pine cone, dates from 1000.

These two passageways have recently been renovated and they are an amazing snapshot of early Sanremo.

Fascinating area of historic Sanremo that is well worth a visit.

Is Portofino, Italy worth a visit?

I often get asked what is the easiest way to get to Portofino and is it worth the time.

Portofino in and of itself is beautiful and somewhat mysterious, but if you are pairing it with other charming villages nearby, it will give you a more rounded view of that special area of Liguria.
