Commons Lake – Week Summary: 16–23 May 2026

Chris, Liam, Steve, Daniel, and Jamie joined us recently for a memorable week of angling at Commons Lake.

​The week started with excellent fishing conditions, but a mid-week weather shift brought sudden hot temperatures, which slowed the bite down. Despite the tricky weather patterns, the group landed a total of 21 healthy fish, with several members beating their personal bests!

​The Week's Highlights:
​3 x 50s up to a 54lb Common Carp
​6 x 40s up to 49lb
​1 x 32lb Linear Carp
​7 x 20s up to 29lb
​3 x Catfish (Including a 61lb)

🎣Morgane Lakes - Week Summary 23-30 May 2026🎣

Despite scorching temperatures of 36–39°C, Stuart & Alfie Dea, Ed Benham, Eli, and Jasper Benham loved every minute at Morgane Lakes.

Over the course of their stay, they landed 28 fish in total, including 2 x 30lb up to 36lb, 4 x 20lb up to 28lb, and two under 20lb. From the cat lake, they landed 19 catfish, including one at 106lb, one at 99lb, 3 in the 80s up to 84lb, 2 in the 70s up to 74lb, 6 in the 60s up to 69lb, 3 in the 50s up to 57lb, one at 46lb, and two in the 30s up to 36lb.

Matt, Nathan, Brad & Millie-Mae enjoyed an excellent week on Margot Lake, making the most of their session and landing an impressive 89 fish in total.

Starting the week with 4 anglers before dropping to 3 from Tuesday onwards, the action continued throughout the session with a great mix of quality fish.

Their catch included:

🐟 3 x 50s up to 52lb common carp
🐟 12 x 40s up to 48lb 4oz mirror carp
🐟 44 x 30s up to 39lb 11oz grass carp
🐟 28 x 20s up to 29lb mirror carp
🐟 17lb koi carp
🐟 2 catfish, the biggest at 62lb

🎣Commons Lake - Week Summary 25 April 2 May 2026🎣

Dave, Glenn and Aby enjoyed an excellent stay at Commons Lake, banking a memorable session packed with action and multiple PBs along the way.

Despite a hot, sunny start, the fish were on the move, and by the end of the week, they had landed 39 impressive fish, including:

• 3 x 50lb carp, including a 54lb common
• 11 x 40lb+ carp up to 48lb
• 10 x 30lb+ carp up to 39lb
• 5 x 20lb+ carp up to 28lb
• 8 catfish, including a 102lb giant and a 97lb specimen

The winning tactics? Yellow Pop-ups and Wafters fished precisely over a bed of pellet and boilie.
