Les Petits Quintin is a large stone manor house situated in the Dordogne, France within half and hours drive from Bergerac airport. It is set within 4 acres of grounds and boasts stunning views across the countryside. The house is currently undergoing restoration. This work started in November 2015 and is due to be complete in late Spring 2016. The front wall has been re-built as it had suffered f

rom subsidence and now matches the appearance of the rest of the stone walls. All of the windows and doors to the front elevation have been replaced. Inside the house has been re-wired, a new central heating system installed and new plumbing/drainage added. The accommodation consists of 5 bedrooms. 3 of these have en-suite bathrooms, with the two bedrooms at the front of the property upstairs benefitting from en-suite bathrooms within the two towers. These have roll top slipper baths as well as walk in showers. The remaining two bedrooms are downstairs and share a bathroom. Overall the property can accommodate 12 people (8-10 adults) and cots can be provided for babies. The property will be ready for rental for the school summer holidays 2016 - please message or email if you are interested in making a booking or for more information. It is hoped that there may be some weeks available from June, but watch this space for updates on the progress of the renovations. The property will also be available for short breaks in Autumn, Winter and Spring (or a longer Christmas/New Year getaway). We are happy to provide recommendations for restaurants and days out and offer a booking service for these. The nearby (5 mins drive) Chateau des Vigiers golf course is great for keen golfers. There are also lots of footpaths for walking/ cycling/ running. There are plans for a swimming pool at the house watch this space for updates.

After almost two weeks of chaos, the bulk of the landscaping has been done, the driveways and parking area are ready to have the stone laid on top, and the base of the pool is in. Doug has started the block work for the base of the outdoor kitchen and weather permitting, the pool block work will start next week. It's all very muddy at the moment, but we will get there.

A text arrived this afternoon from our electrician saying that yesterday all the work was finished. Hallelujah! It's only been 14 months! That means it is now up to us to finish off the last bits and the inside of the house will be done 😀
