A surprising visit to Lagrasse in the Corbière region. A lovely young man offered to pray for our friendship and after that we went for a dégustation at Chateau de Caraguilhes where we bought a bit of rose wine which I am now drinking with crisps on the side. #

The garden doesn’t really mind if you are there or not. It does its thing regardless. There have been daffodils, iris, roses and weeds being full of colour all by themselves, unseen but not unloved. Now it is a mixture of crispy brown and surprising green but I have still managed a flower arrangement with some nameless yellow flowers, a bit of pink oleander and some lavender.

Paving on the lower terrace and path completed. The roses have been pruned to make sure that we get the spectacular show next spring.
