At Riders Refuge we provide summer and winter alpine holidays in quality catered accommodation. During your stay you'll enjoy excellent wine, delicious home cooking and the opportunity to have a great holiday with like-minded people. Riders Refuge is situated in Morzine which is in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps it is half way between Mont Blanc and Lac Leman. Morzine is at the heart o

f the Portes du Soleil, which is the largest lift linked area open in the summer time. The area has the largest amount of marked trails in Europe and has something to offer all types of riders from expansive cross country trails to the world cup downhill course in Les Gets. In winter the area boasts 207 lifts 650km of pistes 9 snow parks and three half pipes. Activities on offer in this area however don´t begin and end with mountain biking other activities include; Canyoning, paragliding, white water rafting, kayaking, hiking, via ferata, wake boarding, golf and swimming to name just a few.

Morzine, get ready... the world’s best mountain bikers are heading back to the mountains! ⛰️

From 20th-23rd August 2026, Les Gets will be buzzing as theUCI Mountain Bike World Cup takes over the trails. 🌍 🚴

Expect HUGE jumps, insane speed, technical sections and some of the best riders on the planet battling it out for that podium spot 🏆

Here’s what’s going down:
⚡️ Thursday 20th - Training & timed runs
🔥 Friday 21st - Cross-Country Short Track (XCC)
💨Saturday 22nd - Downhill (DHI)
🏁Sunday 23rd - Cross-Country Olympic (XCO)

And the best part? It’s FREE to watch! 👀
