Last week, Kumamon, the most famous mascot of Japan, was present in Nantes to discover the city and its whole tourist route, "the Journey to Nantes".
Kumamon is the mascot of the prefecture of Kumamoto and the Ambassador of the Friendship of tourism between France and Japan
On the program: the slide of "Paysage Glissé" at the castle of the Dukes of Brittany, the Passage Pommeraye and the Carrousel des Mondes Marins

In 2013, Nantes was the first French city to be named Green Capital of Europe and the 5th most “bike-friendly” city in the world according to Copenhagenize. Nantes makes an ideal cultural stopover on two EuroVelo-routes: the “La Loire à vélo” route and the Atlantic Coast route “Vélodyssée”.

Taking a NantesSaint-Nazaire estuary cruise is a unique way to see villages and nature along the Loire. It is also the opportunity to discover the permanent collection of the Estuaire contemporary arts route. This open-air museum can be visited by boat from 23 April to 27 October 2016, departing from Nantes or Saint-Nazaire.

La Cantine du Voyage is back !
La Cantine du Voyage, beside the Loire, on the Ile de Nantes, is now a summertime institution. Bar, restaurant and meeting place, the Cantine also has boules pitches, table football and a reading corner for heaps of fun. New in 2016: an organic vegetable garden and the return of the “Skate Ô Drome”. From 4 May to 2 October 2016.

This is a goal which the Le Voyage à Nantes hopes to fulfil by winning the title, with your help! Voting will take place online from 20 January to 10 February.
