After nearly five weeks eating my way through Paris, I have A LOT of thoughts. Mainly: the 11th arr. has my heart, terrace moments are the best moments, warm service matters, and I will never tire of baguette + salted burre 🇫🇷

I ate everywhere from traditional bistros to fine dining, pizza joints, natural wine bars and plenty in between. Three spots I’m still thinking about:
✨ Bistro des Tournelles — Tiny, traditional, notoriously hard to book and worth the hype. Everything we ate was chef’s kiss perfect Bistrot des Tournelles
🥂 Le Grand Café — Gorgeous, grand and surprisingly delicious. Come for the Grand Palais setting, stay for the perfect Niçoise, bread + butter and people watching Le Grand Café
🌶️ Kubri — Lebanese in the 11th and one of my biggest surprises. I’m still dreaming about the grilled cabbage with Aleppo pepper butter, pickled apricots + peanuts Kubri

My biggest takeaway? There is no “best restaurants in Paris” list. Where you should eat depends entirely on how you like to eat — and that’s half the fun.

Scenes from our first week in my happy place 🤍

There’s something different about being here in the summer Maybe it’s the heat, but everything feels a little slower than usual, in the best way. Long lunches, quiet mornings, evening walks, and nowhere we really need to be. We’ve stopped trying to fit everything in and started letting the city set the pace.

Turns out, Paris knows exactly what it’s doing ✨

Planning family travel can feel like a full-time job. Luckily, it’s ours.

🧭 Trip pacing. Breaks are built in, energy levels are considered, and no one’s melting down in front of the Colosseum.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We’ve got kids too. Every advisor on our team travels with family, so we know the potential pitfalls and how to avoid them.

🛏️ Smart room setups. We know which hotels have true connecting rooms or suites that work for bigger families.⁠

🍝 Child-friendly dining recs. Think restaurants that feel special and have a menu your 5-year-old will love.⁠

For me, food is more than fuel - it’s memory. Culture. Curiosity. It’s often the thing I remember most about a destination. A perfect spoonful. A street vendor’s secret recipe. A meal that shifts your whole idea of flavor.
These three countries - Japan, Peru, and Denmark have set a new bar in my recent travels. Each one offers a different kind of magic:
🇵🇪 Peru for bold flavors and its beautiful Nikkei fusion cuisine
🇯🇵 Japan for its quiet mastery and deep respect for craft
🇩🇰 Copenhagen for its playful mix of street eats and Scandi indulgence (still dreaming of that cardamom bun...)

Whether it’s a sushi counter in Tokyo or a cevicheria in Lima, these experiences remind me: the best travel stories usually start with a bite.
