For almost 200 years, on December 8th, people of Lyon and it’s surrounding have been expressing their gratitude toward the Virgin Marie -who supposely saved them from the plage- by lightning candles outside their windows. Eventhough this tradition is still alive, the city of Lyon now stages a fabulous free light festival with over 30 different shows through its streets : Just brilliant 🎉

For almost 200 years, on December 8th, people of Lyon and it’s surrounding have been expressing their gratitude toward the Virgin Marie who supposely saved them from the plague by lightning candles outside their windows.
