From anyone of our apartments you can, in no time flat, hop on the metro, get off at Republique (it's direct) and be a Flaneur at the Canal St Martin.

There's a time-honored tradition of getting to know Paris by walking its streets; a revelatory option is a walk the Canal Saint Martin & Canal de l'Ourcq.
