Madrid feels elegant without trying too hard.

It’s long lunches under glass ceilings, palace views at sunset, cocktail bars tucked into quiet neighborhoods, and mornings that start slowly in Retiro Park. The city balances grand history with a warmth that makes it incredibly easy to settle into.

I pulled together some of my favorite hotels, restaurants, bars, and experiences across Madrid — from iconic luxury stays to design-forward boutique properties and the spots I’d personally recommend building a trip around.

One of the most overlooked questions in trip planning is how easy it is to get around once you arrive—because strong transit infrastructure can fundamentally shape the experience.

In well-connected cities, travelers can move more spontaneously, cover more ground, and spend far less time managing logistics. It also opens up more flexibility for clients with specific needs, whether that’s accessibility, dietary preferences, or simply a desire to explore without a rigid schedule.

Destinations like Japan, Singapore, London, Copenhagen, Vienna, and Switzerland stand out for how seamless they make getting from place to place, often eliminating the need for a rental car entirely.

Last-minute summer trips don’t have to mean settling.

I officially hit $1,000,000 in travel sales since starting Let’s Go Places Travel in January 2024 — and I’m incredibly grateful.
