THE FAMOUS ARTISTS OF MONTMARTRE TOUR
Join me on my walking tour of Montmartre and discover why famous artists such as Van Gogh, Toulouse Lautrec, Picasso and Renoir decided to make it their home from the late nineteenth century onwards. We begin the tour near the Moulin Rouge (home of the famous can can dance) and
slowly make our way up to the top of the hill to the Basilica of Sacré Coeur. To reserve an individual or group visit, please contact:
The tour takes places on Saturdays at 15.00 (Nov-March) and 16.00 (April- October)and it last 90 minutes. Cost : 25€ per person
WRITERS AND LEGENDS OF THE LEFT BANK TOUR:
Lingo Immersions will transport you back in time to Paris from medieval times to the roaring 1920s. We will begin the tour in the charming neighborhood of St Germain de Près with its ancient church and fascinating history and from there we will:
- pass the apartment of famous philosopher Jean Paul Sartre,
- see the hotel where Oscar Wilde spent his last days,
- follow in the footsteps of Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald
- walk through the Luxembourg gardens

I love walking around the Latin quarter in Paris. There’s so much history! Great philosophers and thinkers from Montaigne to Simone de Beauvoir.
I even found the house where Simone lived when she wrote the Second S*x. I continued down the street only to see Notre Dame towering above me.

I would loved to have been in Paris when Brendan Behan lived here. He worked as a house painter while perfecting his verse in Irish.
He followed in the footsteps of James Joyce through the streets of the left bank.
He met Camus and James Baldwin in Les Deux Magots. He enjoyed discussing Existentialism with the philosophers.

The Famous Artists of Montmartre Walking Tour
Join me on my Famous Artists of Montmartre walking tour. I will take you off the beaten track to the places in Montmartre that inspired famous artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir and Toulouse-Lautrec.
As you walk through the cobbled streets of this charming village you will see the many portrait artists gathered in Place du Tertre and we will pass Montmartre’s vineyard on the way down to see the oldest cabaret in Paris - Le Lapin Agile.
The tour ends at Sacre Coeur at the top of the hill which offers a fantastic view over the city of Paris.
The tours runs every Saturday at 15.00 and it costs 20 € per person.
