« The status of French citizen is withdrawn from:  »

These extracts are from 1942. They are from « Le Journal Officiel » which was the published legal news from the State of France. (At the time, it was Vichy France).
These pictures show a list of names of naturalized French jews that got their citizenship taken away by law. It states the full name and address.
Part of the dehumanizing process of Jews during the war, that law allowed the Vichy French authorities to arrest foreign jews in France and deport them.

Stephanie, one of our guide, came into possession of those documents and we went with her to the Shoah Memorial to give them there so they could be classified and be of service for « le devoir de mémoire » (duty of memory)

Through our Jewish history tour, you will end at the Memorial where we left those documents.
Our Resistance tour goes deeper into the untold stories of fighters and survivors of that period.

We will never forget them.
