The Champs -Élysées is a great and famous boulevard of Paris. It is considered by many as the most beautiful avenue of the capital, according to a term commonly used in France and mostly by Parisians as "the most beautiful avenue in the world". It takes its name from Elysian Fields, the place of the underworld where virtuous souls staying in Greek mythology. It is also one of the main tourist attractions of the capital. It runs from the "Place de la Concorde" to the "Place Charles de Gaulle" in the 8th arrondissement.
