A stunning acquisition!

If you need another reason to visit the Musée d'Orsay the museum has some exciting news! It just acquired Gustave Caillebotte's "Boating Party" piece with the help of LVMH for an astonishing $46.7m. Sold by the descendants of Caillebotte the artwork is now on display at the museum who's home to one of the largest Impressionism galleries 🖼 Even more excitedly the piece will go on tour in French museums in 2024 as part of the 150 years of Impressionism 🎉
