Co-founder, François Dunoyer, was raised outside of Paris in Versailles. He spent childhood summers at his ancestral home near Toulouse in the southwest of France. His wife Lisa, a native of England, moved to Paris shortly after graduating from University with a degree in French. The two met there and moved to the French Riviera, where they married and had three of their four children. In 2000, they moved to the United States settling in Annapolis, Maryland, traveling back to France regularly on family vacations. In 2017, Francois and Lisa finally acquired a villa of their own in their beloved French Riviera, in the village of Le Bar sur Loup. The idea for Tournesol Travel came about as Francois had been creating detailed itineraries for friends and colleagues for years and Lisa had been working for a luxury travel company catering to Ireland and Great Britain. Sharing a huge passion for France’s beauty, culture, food and w**e, they both have found much joy in planning customized trips to France that go way beyond the standard destinations and sightseeing.
