Recently, a client posted a 1-star review on TripAdvisor that has been wrongly attributed to our company, Best of France Tours (Paris, France).

We formally contested this review with TripAdvisor, as it clearly violates TripAdvisor’s Content Policy regarding reviews posted for the wrong business.

The review in question does not concern a tour that was sold, operated, or subcontracted by Best of France Tours.

We have already provided TripAdvisor with clear and verifiable documentary evidence establishing the following facts:

The tour package was sold by a completely separate U.S.-based company called ESKAPAS, which is the source of the confusion, as they market a product titled “Best of France Tour”

The tour itself was operated by another third-party operator in Paris, France — not by Best of France Tours.

The client posted the exact same review verbatim on another company’s TripAdvisor listing, confirming that the experience did not relate to our business.

Best of France Tours has no affiliation, contractual relationship, or subcontracting arrangement with ESKAPAS.

We do not sell or operate the type of tour described in the review.
Despite this clear evidence, the review remains published on our TripAdvisor listing.

TripAdvisor replied as follows:

“We have completed our investigation into your concern and have evaluated all aspects of the review in question. In this case, the review complies with our submission guidelines and we have found no evidence to justify moving the review to a new location or removing the review as incorrectly posted on your listing. We are leaving the review in question on the site.”

TripAdvisor's decision is both surprising and deeply concerning.

The continued publication of this incorrectly attributed review is causing ongoing consumer confusion, demonstrable reputational harm, and a measurable drop in our TripAdvisor ranking.

Since 2007, our priority has always been to deliver exceptional private tours in France and to ensure our clients are fully satisfied.

As TripAdvisor has not yet corrected this mistake, we felt it necessary to post this clarification for the benefit of future clients/readers.
