Renting a car in Europe? Here is the one thing you should never leave home without 🤩 🚘👇

‼️ l International Driving Permit ‼️

This little document is the difference between being able to rent a car in Europe and being refused 🪪🙅‍♂️

Most car rental companies will require you to show your international driving permit before driving away. So even if you’ve paid a non-refundable booking, no permit = no rental car 🤯❌

It’s a quick way to ruin your vacation before it’s even started and its actually easy to avoid. You can purchase your permit through you local driving authority and it’s typically valid for 12 months 🔑🚗

No more arriving at the airport 3 hours in advance or long security queues… instead simply show up 30 minutes before and enjoy the scenic journey to your destination 😍

Which Greek islands should you visit? 🇬🇷⛴️🔅

I’ve got a controversial Greece travel opinion and that’s how after you visit one Cycladic island… they all start to look and feel the same 🤷‍♀️🫣

Now before you go crazy, I love the beaches and hilltop villages of Paros… I have stayed out partying until the early hours of the morning in Ios… and I have fallen head over heels for the turquoise waters of Folegandros… BUT there is so much more to explore and experience on a trip to Greece ‼️

In fact, Greece has over 6000 islands! So you can pair the whitewashed buildings of the Cycladic island with the warm terracotta rooftops found in the Saronic islands and get two entirely different experiences 🌳🏠

What do you think? Are the Cycladic islands overrated or do they deserve a spot on your Greece itinerary? 🤔

Seeking an easy island escape from Athens? ⛴️❤️🇬🇷

These 5 islands are the perfect addition to any Greece trip as they ALL combine just the right amount of iconic Greek island scenery with tranquil off-the-beaten-path experiences 😍✨

So if you’re thinking of planing a trip to Mykonos or Santorini because that’s where everyone else goes… I highly encourage you to reconsider and choose one of the following islands instead 🫶

1. Hydra - 1 hour from Athens, quiet island with zero cars!! 🚫🚘
2. Milos - 2.5 hours from Athens, insane moon-like landscapes 🌙
3. Folegandros - 4 hours from Athens, crazy blue water & sunset views 🌅
4. Spetses - 2 hours from Athens, peaceful and covered in green forests 🌳
5. Serifos - 2 hours from Athens, mostly locals here and very few tourists 🤩

🇬🇷 Hydra is a unique Greek island as there are ZERO motorised vehicles on the island 🚘🙅‍♀️

Instead the most common modes of transport are by donkey 🫏 boat 🚤 or walking 🥾 its a rule that has been enforced since the 1950s and has allowed the island to maintain its traditional character 🥹

You won’t find any major hotel or restaurant chains here, no mass tourism and no crazy crowds! Just an idyllic island that feels almost stuck in time and a real escape from the modern world 🏖️🥰
