For those guests who have stayed at our place in Paris and their friends and family. Stunning apartment just steps from the Tuileries Gardens.

Recently renovated, 120-square-meters (1200-square-feet), in the central First Arrondissement, this is total luxury and couldn’t be better situated – on the most renowned shopping street in Paris, just steps from the Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, and Place Vendôme, and surrounded by some of the coolest cocktail bars and restaurants in the city. Two spacious bedrooms, each with its own huge bathroom,

with double washbasins, a standalone bathtub, and a shower. The luxury hotels along this street can hardly offer the same comfort at ten times the price. Some other great features:

– new king-sized and queen-sized beds

– 2 large, comfortable, private baths (both with showers, one with bath)

8 minutes walking from the Eiffel Tower, just next to the charming pedestrian Rue Cler market street (get your cheese and wine here), yet still mostly unknown to tourists, Marlon is a great, open, friendly place for reasonable lunches and dinners.

Healthy options, some of which may be familiar to Americans. In particular, try the shrimp tacos, the Cuban sandwich, or the baby back ribs.

Also a nice choice of American and Australian wines if (for some reason) you're French-ed out.

Over the next months we're going to be posting our favorite lesser-known places in Paris - the places we like to hang out, but that most standard guidebooks likely miss. First off, in the 1st Arrondissement, Willi's Wine Bar.

- A vast wine list curated by Mark Williamson, who founded the place over 20 years ago and travels annually to France's terroirs looking for interesting new tastes.
- Great bar service. The whole team is professional and experienced (and bi-lingual). Arabella's often behind the bar and will listen to your hopes and dreams before suggesting something appropriate.
- No finger food here. After a drink, have a seat in the dining room for some of the most sophisticated food in the neighborhood, at a reasonable price.
